ABSTRACT SUBMISSION IS NOW CLOSED

Congress objectives

The objective of the congress is to provide a platform for interaction, to all professionals working in the field of archival records. We are confident that the interaction in Brisbane will help to evolve strategies for successful information management of the 21st Century.

Abstract selection criteria

The Programme Committee aims to create a rich and attractive program. It will favor proposals which are:
Clearly related to the theme and sub-themes (mandatory)
Presented by ICA bodies and members rather than non-members
Presenting an operational approach to specific issues
Fostering interactivity and involving the audience
Supporting professional development
Supporting the implementation of the ICA strategic directions and objectives
Of international interest
Represents a unique or innovative contribution to archival theory and practice

As part of an effort to stimulate the active involvement of young and new professionals and to encourage the inter-generational dialogue about the state of the profession and its future needs, the conference organisers would especially welcome proposals for contribution from young and new professionals.

The decision of acceptance of abstracts is at the discretion of the Programme Committee. Successful authors will be invited to submit a full paper once abstract acceptance has been advised.

All presenters are required to register for the congress and pay the registration fee. All presenters must register by early bird date 31 May 2012. Failure to register by this date will result in the presentation being withdrawn from the program, and the abstract will therefore not be published

Further information regarding the submission of full papers will be sent to all successful authors in May 2012.
